Welcome Race Fans!

Welcome back Race Fans!  We at Peace Tree and the rest of Knoxville are excited to have you back in town for another fabulous Nationals Week.  We will be open each day and night starting Thursday, August 4-Sunday August 14.  Stop by and see all that has changed since last year.  We will be tapping an awesome Kolsch style beer that is light and refreshing but full of flavor, just what you need to refresh after long nights of racing action.  We have six other styles available as well, including our award winning Blonde Fatale!

If you haven’t visited us before, we’d love to see you.  We offer a cool (looking and feeling!) taproom that is a great place to catch up with friends old and new.  Order in some food or just snack on pub mix and some great local cheeses from our cooler.  And if you want to learn more about beer magic, ask for a tour!

Of course the main action is out by the race track but be sure to check out our downtown!  We have some great little gems plus you will really experience the hometown hospitality that’s made Knoxville famous.    Below is a list of some of our favorite spots…Be sure to tell them we sent you!

Buying

The Next Chapter-a beautiful new and used book and gift store on the southwest corner of the square, very knowledgable staff with great recommendations for a vacation read!

Art 101-An art gallery of local (serious) artists, gorgeous things on Fourth just south of Main.

The Chic Boutique-Recycled women’s wear that looks great but won’t break the bank, north side of square.

This That and the Other has great recycled finds, check them out on the Northeast corner of the square.

Exsalonce can provide some pampering with hair cuts or manicures and pedicures.  Get refreshed!

Eating

Swamp Fox Pub and Grill-Nice but casual, great food, not to mention, they serve great beer :-) , a block north of the square on Second.

Coffee Connection-Wonderful place on the north side of the square to get the day started with a strong coffee and snack

Hometown Meats and Deli-Get in line to have a sandwich (or wrap or salad or taco, mmmm choices) made or pick up some meat for grilling, Grab a cold Peace Tree Root Beer to round out your meal!  On Robinson, half a block West of the square.

Taso’s makes great pizza and a wide variety of menu items on the Southwest corner of the square.  The Rueben pizza is a PTB favorite!

Rib Shack opened just in time for the races last year and has quickly become a fan favorite!  Our Red Rambler tastes great with smokey BBQ.

Doing

Knoxville Chamber of Commerce-Aanna, Melinda and the entire board have been working hard to get ready for Nationals.  Stop by and tell them thanks… they can answer any question!

National Sprint Car Hall of Fame-Great museum of sprint car history!

Lake Red Rock-Iowa’s largest lake with beautiful Red Rock bluffs.  Hike Cordova tower or ride your bike on the Volksweg trail then have a picnic lunch with a little PT brew!  North on Hwy 14, then right after the mile long bridge.

Marion County Courthouse-Beautiful limestone courthouse, be sure to have a look inside! Downtown Knoxville

Pine Knolls Country Club is a wonderful, hilly 9 hole golf course with an outdoor pool at the East edge of Knoxville.  Great place to golf and relax, call for a tee time!
